Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay is one of the most-visited cultural attractions in South-East Asia. Voted World Building of the Year in 2012, it represents unprecedented collaboration between client and design disciplines. Wilkinson Eyre’s cooled conservatory complex sits at the centre of the new gardens, displaying plants from the two zones most threatened by climate change.

Supernature: how Wilkinson Eyre made a hothouse cool describes the story of the design, placing it in a critical and cultural context, and focusing on the unique environmental challenge of the project: designing a greenhouse to make things cooler rather than warmer!

The book was published by ORO editions in June 2013.
